Ingredients
- 1β1.2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 onion
- 1 egg
- Breadcrumbs, for coating
- Β½ tsp salt
- ΒΌ tsp black pepper
- Avocado oil or neutral oil, for cooking
Directions
- Finely grate or mince the onion in a food processor. Do not strain β the moisture helps keep burgers soft.
- In a bowl, combine onion, ground beef, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well for 1β2 minutes.
- Form small, thin patties (2β3 inches wide) and gently press into breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan. Cook patties for 3β4 minutes per side over medium heat. Cover after flipping to ensure they cook through.
- Cool slightly and serve with or without a bun, alongside fries and ketchup.
