Ingredients
- 1.8–2 lbs chuck roast
- 2 tbsp flour of choice
- 1 onion
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 carrots
- 2 potatoes
- 1 cup green peas
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp salt (optional for babies)
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2½ cups water
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and prep all ingredients.
- Coat beef with flour and optional salt and pepper.
- Sear beef in oil until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté onion and garlic for 2–3 minutes.
- Add vegetables, spices, tomato paste, beef, and water.
- Bring to a boil, cover, and bake for 2½ hours.
- Cool slightly, adjust texture for baby, and serve.
Storage & Reheating
Fridge: Store for up to 3 days.
Freezer: Freeze portions for up to 2 months.
Reheat: Warm gently and add liquid if needed. Always check temperature before serving to babies.
