Whole Wheat Cinnamon Apple Waffles π§π
These whole wheat cinnamon apple waffles are warm, cozy, and perfectly sweetened with applesauce β no refined sugar needed. Made in one bowl with wholesome ingredients, theyβre ideal for babies, toddlers, kids, and parents alike.

Ingredients
- 1 Β½ cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Β½ tsp cinnamon
- ΒΎ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 ΒΌ cups milk or non-dairy milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: 2 tbsp maple syrup (12 months & up)
Directions
- Preheat the waffle maker.
- In a bowl, whisk applesauce, melted butter, egg, milk, vanilla, and maple syrup (if using).
- Add whole wheat flour, cinnamon, and baking powder. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Lightly grease waffle maker, pour batter into the center, and spread slightly.
- Cook for 3β5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing or serving.
Notes
Storage: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
Reheat: Warm in toaster, toaster oven, or microwave until heated through.
