Ingredients
Servings: 1 batch
- 250 grams beef and pork mince (250g = 9oz. Buy 125g / 4.5oz of each, or buy it pre-mixed)
- 1 cup broccoli, steamed
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs (or substitute with regular breadcrumbs, or make your own if needed)
- 1/4 cup cheese, grated (tasty cheese or a mild cheddar)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven: Preheat your oven to 200°C / 395°F and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Prepare your broccoli: Steam or microwave the broccoli until slightly tender, then mash well.
- Combine the ingredients: In a mixing bowl, add the beef and pork mince mix, mashed broccoli, panko breadcrumbs, grated cheese, egg, and garlic powder.
- Mix gently: Stir until everything is just combined. Avoid over-mixing to keep the bites tender.
- Shape: Roll the mixture into balls. This recipe makes approximately 10 bites.
- Bake: Place the bites on the lined tray and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until fully cooked and lightly browned.
