Creamy Broccoli Pasta 🥦🍝
A silky broccoli sauce blended with cream cheese and cheddar, stirred through hot pasta. Family-friendly, fast, and freezer-friendly for future meals.
Ingredients
Servings: 4
- 1⁄2 head broccoli (about 6–8 florets)
- 1⁄2 cup cream cheese
- 1⁄2 cup cheese (tasty or mild cheddar)
- 1⁄4 cup milk of choice (regular cow’s milk used here)
- 250 g dried pasta
Instructions
- Steam your broccoli and cook your pasta.
Steam the broccoli for about 10 minutes, then place it in the fridge for ~5 minutes to cool. Hot liquids in a blender can cause pressure buildup. Cook the pasta according to package directions while the broccoli steams (both take ~10 minutes). - Blend sauce ingredients.
Add the steamed broccoli, milk, cream cheese, and cheddar/tasty cheese to a blender and blend until very smooth. - Stir sauce through pasta.
Place the cooked pasta in a bowl and pour over the sauce. Mix well. You can freeze part of the broccoli sauce for later—use a large ice cube tray and pop out portions when needed.
