🥕🥦 Vegetable Latkes for Kids (9 Months & Up) – A Yummy Hanukkah Tradition with a Spin!
These vegetable latkes add a kid-friendly, veggie-filled spin on a classic holiday favorite. Made with potato, carrot, broccoli, simple seasonings, and just a little flour, they’re crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfect for babies 9 months and up when served appropriately.
Perfect for 9 months+, soft enough to chew but still textured.

Ingredients
- 1 medium size potato (gold potato)
- 4 broccoli florets
- 1 carrot
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour or flour of choice
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Avocado oil for lightly frying
Optional
- Salt to taste (omit for younger babies)
Directions
- Bring a medium pot of water to a boil and add broccoli, carrot, and potato. Par-boil for 8 minutes, keeping vegetables in large pieces.
- Drain well. Chop broccoli and grate potato and carrot.
- Whisk eggs in a bowl.
- Add vegetables, seasonings, and flour. Mix well.
- Heat a little avocado oil in a non-stick pan. Cook latkes for about 3 minutes per side over medium heat until golden.
- Serve slightly warm with yogurt dip or sour cream.
